Questions people ask
Why does my phone get so hot?
Normal use and charging warm a phone a little. Strong heat when idle or charging usually means a failing battery, a charging fault or a part on the board drawing too much power.
Is it safe to keep using an overheating phone?
If it is very hot, the case is lifting or the screen is bulging, stop using and charging it and bring it in. A swollen battery should not be charged or pressed.
What can I do while I wait to come in?
Take off the case, stop charging, close heavy apps and keep the phone out of the sun. Do not cool it in a fridge or freezer.
Will a new battery fix it?
Often, when the battery is the cause. If it is not, we find the real fault, so you do not pay for a part you did not need.
