Questions people ask
What is a display IC?
It is a chip on the motherboard that drives the screen. The backlight IC lights it and the touch IC reads your finger. If one of them fails, even a perfect new screen will not work properly.
My new screen still flickers or is dark. Why?
If a good screen shows the same fault, the problem is on the board, most often in the backlight or display circuit. We can test it and repair it by micro-soldering.
What is the iPhone 6 Plus “touch disease”?
A grey flickering bar at the top of the screen and a touch that stops working. It is a known touch IC fault on the iPhone 6 Plus and is a board-level repair.
